Responsibilities:

  • Understands Shared Service Center business, acts entrepreneurial and identifies new opportunities to improve the business and the value for our customers;
  • Responsible to deliver in-quality and in-time services to our customers;
  • Understands General Ledger and Reporting activities and the role of a GL professional within the Finance Department;
  • Manages the performance of the General Ledger and Reporting Team and mitigates potential risks of lower performance;
  • Identifies improvement opportunities and works towards standardization and harmonization of processes;
  • Acts as a Change Ambassador;
  • Monitors the Internal Controls within own team;
  • Conducts Customer Satisfaction discussions with Finance Managers;
  • Analyzes workload and suggest solutions to Head of CoS regarding potential risks;
  • Proactively partners with the Finance Managers regarding any performance topics or escalations;
  • Responsible to develop the team, based on their Performance and Behaviour evaluation and in accordance with the Career Path;
  • Oversees the progress of various improvement and standardization initiatives within own team;
  • Supports audit process;
  • Acts as a leader and a role model for own team, encouraging growth, motivating and thinking out-of-the-box.

Qualifications:

  • >3 yrs. of experience in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field - Experience in IFRS, as well as Share Service Center business;
  • Experience in leadership, team management and hiring;
  • High motivation;
  • Business sense and understanding;
  • Influencing and negotiation skills;
  • Experience in improvement projects;
  • Open communication style;
  • Team player;
  • Experience in continuous improvement methodologies and implementations;
  • Hands-on experience in SAP/ ERP;
  • Fact-driven and strong analytical skills;
  • Flexibility to adjust and to work in new situations, processes, etc.;
  • Fluent in spoken and written in English;
  • Up to 10% travel required.
