This is a part-time paid internship program that starts Monday, July 8, 2024 and ends Friday August 16, 2024. The hours are Monday-Friday from 8am - 12pm.

Although this is primarily a remote position there will be some on-site requirements to a few of our Northeast Ohio locations (approximately 10 percent). For this reason, we will only consider local residents for this internship.

As a Revenue Cycle Management Intern, you will work closely with a group of fellow interns and report to a director in Revenue Cycle Management. This internship provides an opportunity to shadow job functions within Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to find the right career for you. This is primarily a remote position.

The ideal future caregiver is someone who: 

  • Is a college student or graduate who is interested in a career in healthcare administration. 
  • Has at least two years of customer service-related experience. 
  • Acts in a professional manner. 
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic. 
  • Is eager to learn and grow. 

Caregivers who join this 6-week program will be given the opportunity to shadow job roles remotely and work with leaders to sharpen their interview skills, polish their resume, practice public speaking skills and more.

Responsibilities: 

  • While following all department procedures and guidelines, completes daily assignments, projects or tasks.
  • Maintains equipment, files, databases.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities or meetings then recommends actions to improve results.
  • Once trained and assigned, assists with patient service functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Some positions may require additional education or training.

Certifications:

  • None required.

Complexity of Work:

  • May require critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience: 

  • Experience required will vary by assigned department and position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires occasional computer entry, sitting, standing and walking to attend meetings.
  • Normal or corrected vision, hearing and speech.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
