Finance Internship at our Varsity Spirit office located at 711 N Front St Suite 100, Memphis, TN 38107

As the Varsity Spirit Finance Intern, you will assist with general accounting, annual planning, report creation, and ad hoc analysis. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who is pursuing a degree in finance or accounting. 

What you will do:

• Provide general accounting / finance support 
• Assist with financial modeling and analysis
• Provide support for the annual budgeting process
• Contribute to management presentations and reporting
• Provide support to Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable
• Learn to understand the Varsity Spirit business and how Finance supports business partners

What you bring:

• Cooperative team player who can work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines 
• Exemplary organizational and time management skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently 
• Advanced written, verbal and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail
• Team player
• Excellent customer service skills 
• Proficient in Microsoft 360 programs
• Microsoft Excel skills preferred

Education, Certification and Experience

• Pursing a degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred 

Physical Demands and/or Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. Largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. Ability to sit or stand for long periods through meetings and while operating office equipment, PC’s, laptop, telephone will be required.
