What you’re applying for

We’re looking for an ambitious Content Marketing Intern to join our team, focusing on content creation aimed to enhance Lemonade’s SEO and help drive business growth.

You’ll report to the Director of Content Marketing, focusing on Lemonade’s content articles that educate consumers about renters, homeowners, pet, and car insurance. 

Working closely with our Content Strategist, SEO specialists and with ChatGPT-4, you’ll create new content as well as revamp and optimize existing content, all with an eye to increasing online brand presence and traffic to Lemonade pages.

In this role you’ll:

  • Leverage ChatGPT-4 to create compelling content on various insurance and insurance-adjacent topics
  • Revamp older content, according to SEO team’s specifications, in order to improve rankings in google search results 
  • Program and publish articles in our CMS system (similar to WordPress)
  • Assist with research and fact checking
  • Be part of the Content Marketing team

What you’ll need:

  • An interest in content marketing— writing, digital marketing, SEO, blogging, social media 
  • Deep familiarity with ChatGPT and how to craft prompts that will generate quality outputs
  • Basic understanding or curiosity about SEO best practices, and an eagerness to learn on-the-job
  • Examples of writing that showcases your personality and writing style are an advantage (personal blogs or student essays count!)
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management, and ability to juggle projects of varying scopes/timelines at once
  • Completed or in-process Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or similar field
  • Ideally, the ability to spend time on-site in our New York office 1–2 days a week

This is a part-time role (roughly 20 hours/week), with a mix of remote and in-office work. The hourly rate for this position is $25/hour.
