Postdoctoral Fellow Psych - (240000WI)

Description

The Postdoctoral Fellow Psychology will provide clinical services for patients and families of patients, including assessment, consultation, psychological testing, brief psychotherapy, and when indicated, longer-term therapy, and behavioral interventions. 

Qualifications

Minimum Education

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or PsyD in accredited program, or all doctoral requirements completed (including dissertation successfully defended and predoctoral clinical internship successfully completed) within 90 days of date of hire. (Required)

Minimum Work Experience

3 years (Required)

Required Skills/Knowledge

Training in evidenced-based psychological interventions.

Required Licenses and Certifications

Register with District of Columbia for supervision by licensed psychologist as requirement toward licensure. .

Two thousand hours post-degree

conferral required prior to obtaining license in D.C. (Preferred)

Functional Accountabilities

Customer Service

  • Provide caregiver guidance and psychotherapy to youth and their families.
  • Complete psychological evaluations of youth and consult with family members, educational advocates and schools as needed.
  • Provide mental health consultation to patients and their medical providers.

Teamwork/ Communication

  • Contribute to multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to clients.
  • Document services performed in the EMR systems.
  • Collect data as needed for program.
  • Participate in grant reporting requirements.

  • Work with team to ensure compliance with grant expectations and requirements.
