Position Overview

The primary function of an SEO Specialist is to support topic teams and your respective U.S SEO team members on a website (TechRepublic) in executing on-page and off-page strategies to help us become the most authoritative website.

What you'll do

• You do keyword research for upcoming articles and provide analysis on search intent and reader experience 
• You manipulate data as well as extract findings from Google spreadsheets/reports
• Use tools such as Ahrefs and SEMrush to pull keyword search volumes and competitor KW’s, suggest new KW ideas, and check out backlink reports internally and on external sites
• You are ready for a rapidly changing environment where pop up projects or tasks can be assigned at any time and goals can be set for the short, medium and long term
• You understand topic clusters and content organization 
• Learn about and contribute SEO best practices to all relevant team conversations
• You keep up to date with current SEO trends, google algorithm updates, and are willing to learn about seasonality in ranking fluctuations for your team
• Monitor traffic and rank within the topic clusters for your division alongside your SEO team members
• Learn about competitive landscape for your topics 
• Keep on top of the content runway for cluster articles and collaborate with your SEO team with weekly reports regarding interlinking status, keeping spreadsheets and tools up to date and noting any discrepancies
• You can explain search intent, SERP analysis and what constitutes a quality backlink

Who you are

• 2 years + experience in SEO with relevant industries. 
• You have an understanding of all facets of SEO, in particular on-page and off-page SEO
• You can read and comprehend data, being able to communicate key findings from a report
• You are able to provide clear direction and feedback on a task
• You are an effective collaborator across teams and departments and are able to understand priorities 
• You are a clear written and verbal communicator 
• You are passionate about growing as an SEO professional and staying up to date on the latest SEO news and trends 
• Able to work in the US hours
• Complete command of the English language (speaking and writing)
• Have a stable internet connection and power supply (backup preferred)
• Ability to communicate over video
• Ability to adapt quickly
• Strong self-discipline
• Must have a working laptop/pc and internet connection (with back-up connection)
• Agile professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and thrives on continuously pivoting strategies to drive business needs forward
