Data Engineering Intern

Summary of the Role: 

In this Internship, you will work directly with the data team as you get hands-on professional experience in the immersive technology industry. You will build data systems and products on a cross-functional team that includes members from multiple disciplines including product, analytics and engineering. 

Responsibilities: 

• Learn our data platform, an automation-driven lakehouse designed for incremental transformation 
• Collaborate with product managers, analysts and engineers to understand requirements and how they fit within technical capabilities of our platform 
• Build production data pipelines that help Cosm understand and operate its business on a daily basis 
• Identify opportunities to reduce complexity and create better workflows 
• Seek out and embrace feedback from your peers and stakeholders while providing thoughtful feedback to your team

Experience: 

• Junior or Senior by the start of the program 
• Available to overlap with the Data Team during work hours (Pacific Standard Time) 
• Available to work 20 hours per week during the defined Intern period 
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. 
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail 
• Interest in data, analytics and process optimization 
• Experience with analytical SQL or Dataframe-based tools (Pandas, Spark, etc) 
• Passion for learning new concepts and technologies, and desire to share with and learn from other teammates
