Job Description

I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.

The Sales Assistant provides administrative support to Account Directors and serves as first point-of-contact to clients and prospects. This position assists Account Managers through the entire sales process; functions as Account Director's "go to" person when they are out of the office.

II. Essential Job Functions

Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results

  • Works with the Sales Team, pre & post sales to ensure fulfillment of clients’ business needs. 
  • Assists Sales team with projects and support functions relating to RFPs for print and digital. 
  • Performs administrative support to the department. 
  • Manages incoming calls.
  • Coordinates mailings. 
  • Manages reservations when needed.
  • Completes expense reports. 
  • Coordinates comp list management. 
  • Coordinates agency/client events. 
  • Orders supplies for the sales team.
  • Participates in client support-related responsibilities.
  • Completes Requests for Proposal (RFP’s) as requested
  • Assists Account Managers with presentations. 
  • Submit marketing requests and ID Edit mentions. 
  • Monitors emails for insertion orders; distributes and files for the entire sales team. 
  • Performs research responsibilities. 
  • Submits PIB requests to the Research Department.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent training and/or experience in media.

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of professional experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized
  • Ability to prioritize multiple demanding tasks
  • Good judgment and discretion, and the ability to solve problems
  • Excellent computer skills, including Google Suite, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

Pay Range

Hourly: $17.50 - $25.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith’s total compensation package for employees.
