Job Summary

The Vice President, Marketing and Communications, has broad responsibility for management of the ScionHealth brand and affiliated brands through the oversight of the Company’s communications and marketing functions. This position will be a close collaborator with the executive team, leaders across multiple disciplines and affiliated hospitals, and will lead a team responsible for developing and implementing data-based multi-modal marketing plans, internal and external communications plans, media relations and crisis response programs that support the Company’s purpose, values, and business objectives.

Essential Functions

  • Evaluate, manage, and develop the ScionHealth brand and position the company and its affiliated brands within the marketplace in a manager that effectively supports the Company’s purpose, values, and business objectives. 
  • Develop and execute internal communications strategies for the Company to ensure employee stakeholders across locations are reached effectively and consistently with relevant content.
  • Develop and implement external communications strategies including media relations, community and industry engagement, website, and social media, and provide strategic guidance to hospitals on these functions.
  • Provide executive communications strategy and brand positioning guidance and support to the Chief Executive Officer and other executive leaders.
  • Lead crisis communications response for the Company and its hospitals, ensuring proper coordination with the appropriate internal and external parties including legal, risk management, compliance, and the executive team.
  • Leverage research and data to develop marketing strategies at an enterprise and hospital level that drive growth, improve market share and enhance brand awareness, including measurement and reporting ROI.
  • Oversee key marketing functions including strategic planning, digital marketing, web and social strategies and creative services that support all hospitals and the Support Center, and communications functions including internal communications, external communications, online reputation management and content development that support across the enterprise.
  • Responsibility for development and management of corporate communications and marketing budgets.
  • Regular and reliable attendance; Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Approximate percent of time required to travel: Up to 25%

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing or Public Relations related field.

Experience

  • 10+ years related experience, including 5+ years as functional leader.
