Quality Control Specialist

You will be working as Quality Control Specialist at global grade 15 and will be part of Electrification business Area for Distribution Solutions division based in Nashik, India. In this role you will be reporting to Quality Manager and will be responsible for supporting the deployment of the quality strategy for a local ABB organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools and competent teams with the aim to achieve and even exceed customer expectations, while ensuring sustainable operations.

Your responsibilities

• Utilizing safety systems to perform work, resulting in an accident-free workplace. Notifying others when unsafe situations are observed and working with local HSE teams to improve the safety systems
• Measuring, analyzing and reporting process quality KPIs and taking on larger improvement initiatives, such as process improvement and operational excellence projects
• Planning and performing quality audits or process audits and reliability tests
• Coordinating with various functions like production, stores, design, purchase, SCM etc
• Taking up with suppliers for corrective and preventive actions on issues reported in the material supplied by the supplier
• Constantly striving for minimizing or eliminating defects and acting as coordinator for quick response to resolve production line issue

Your background

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in related field
• Basic knowledge of MV switchgear schematic drawings, IEC standards are preferable
• Basic knowledge of SAP-SD, MM modules
• Should be capable of analyzing and solving problems
• Excellent communication skills
