SUMMARY

Welltower is seeking a Tax Coordinator to join our team located at our corporate headquarters in Toledo, OH. In this role, you will support the Indirect Tax team with a wide range of responsibilities including the compilation and maintenance of all indirect tax related documentation for the company. This position reports to the AVP, Indirect Tax and will work closely with a variety of internal and external partners, including state and local tax authorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review all incoming paper and electronic mail and process as instructed or distribute to appropriate Indirect Tax Department Staff.
  • Process & data entry business personal property and real estate tax bills, valuations, and notices into internal database.
  • Upload monthly/quarterly/annual tax returns, W-9s, registrations, payments, and all support documents to electronic file room.
  • Submit documents to various individuals for signature, distribute internally/externally as instructed, upload signed documents to OS File Room.
  • Prepare, process, and track all Indirect Tax FedEx packages.
  • Process tax payments and provide coding for tax payables.
  • Track all tax notices and assist with contacting taxing authorities to resolve notices.
  • Annually download resale certificates from FL DOR website and upload to OneSource.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma required, AS degree preferred and/or actively pursuing Bachelor’s degree program in Accounting or Business Administration -OR- 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office skills including Power Point, Word and Excel.

Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
