Summary of Job Description:

The Accountant (Restaurant Accounting) position is responsible for leading periodic inventory and reconciling licensing receivables. This position serves as liaison for licensing reporting in conjunction with Licensing and Legal. The Accountant (Restaurant Accounting) bills and collects licensing and international royalties and expenses.

You’ll get a chance to:

  • Responsible for periodic inventory accounting, producing food cost reports by location, auditing them, calling locations on discrepancies, and interfacing the inventory subsystem with the General Ledger. 
  • Assist in the balance sheet reconciliation process and leads the close process for Field Accounting.
  • Responsible for billing licensed stores, working with the Licensing team. 
  • Ensure contracts have been executed for licensed stores as the basis for billing. 
  • Reconcile licensing receivables by comparing sales reports with payments and generating General Ledger reports. 
  • Propose adjustments (journal entries) and posts them to the General Ledger.
  • Allocate costs to different cost centers.
  • Ensuring that they are charged to the correct cost center.
  • May assist Manager in training other Restaurant Accounting associates.
  • Participate in special projects, such as working with third parties to develop a more efficient and automated reporting system for licensees. 
  • Proactively seeks to improve department processes.

Pay Range : P2s: $72,500 - $101,500 / Annual * Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience. 

Qualifications

Your background and experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with coursework in Accounting required
  • Minimum three years of related experience, preferably in a retail/hospitality environment 
  • Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
