Summary of the position:

The Program Manager, Digital Transformation is responsible for the successful planning and execution of our organization’s Digital Transformation projects to support multi-channel products with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will develop, lead, and drive the project schedule and monitor/report progress on all key performance metrics (schedule, scope, finance, and risk) on a regular basis.

This position may be located on-site/hybrid in Chicago, Illinois, or Michigan City, Indiana. 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop the overall project scope, schedule with detailed sub-workstreams by function, and timing ensuring committed owners’ delivery of all actions and work product deliverables
  • Drive digital business requirements and use cases, features, go-to-market strategies in an agile manner.
  • Lead, communicate and drive project objectives and actions cross functionally through all applicable stakeholders
  • Identify risks to project execution, schedule, or scope and facilitate the mitigation of those risks with the appropriate team
  • Employ analytical skills to evaluate data and resolve issues to meet project requirements and targets
  • Identify deviations from project targets (cost, timing, specification, scope) and coordinate functions to develop and implement counter measures / mitigation actions
  • Strong ability to solicit, understand and document business requirements, processes, and workflows, and translate into process design and development.
  • Create and maintain project document structure and data repositories/tracking tools used to document all program related work product
  • Serve as subject matter expert and consult with internal and external stakeholders in defining, conceiving, and advocating “next generation” IoT solutions, web portals, dashboards and UI/UX features.
  • Leverage knowledge of multiple tools, technology, and experience to solve unusually complex problems with a high degree of innovation and ingenuity.
  • Schedule, conduct, document, and disseminate minutes for all project related meetings
  • Escalate time sensitive issues to the appropriate decision makers outside of the established review cadence
  • Prepare and present the appropriate materials for the monthly executive reviews
  • Guide stakeholders in the timely and comprehensive delivery of their work packages
  • Present all aspects that cannot be decided on at the working level to the appropriate leadership team members, secure approval, document and drive the decision back into the project team

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree

Professional experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in project/program management are required
  • Required: Experience with digital revenue steams
  • Required: Extensive understanding of Industrial IoT cloud environments and hardware requirements
  • Required: Experience with ERP and CRM tools
  • Data modeling and data visualization
  • Business/Revenue growth experience with SaaS solutions and advanced data analytics preferred
  • History of successfully launching and iterating on SaaS offerings for B2B and B2C
  • Advanced data analytics and UI/UX platform launch experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience in New Product Development Phase Gate Design Process
  • Effective & strong communication and presentation skills
  • Python, R coding, Power BI, regression modeling skills preferred
