Value Management Engineer/Technical Project Manager

Technical position in the ZF Purchasing organization responsible for development & implementation of profitability improvement projects. Key focus areas are the generation, evaluation and implementation of cost reduction ideas & associated initiatives across different domains, technology clusters, multiple customers and regions for launching and post-SOP programs. Highly visible role through interaction on all levels and with all functions.

Main Tasks:

• Generation of cost savings ideas through various activity types such as supplier-/inhouse workshops, design-/process-/supply base analysis & benchmarking
• Assessment & coordination of ideas in regards to technical/commercial feasibility with x-functional teams on a global basis – preparation of calculations/presentations and further data to support business decisions and obtain Management approvals for project business cases established
• Drive & project manage global cross-applicability of ideas from different sources/domains w/ local groups (Engineering/Purchasing/Plants/Logistics) located in Asia Pacific, North-/ South America & Europe maximizing synergies by guiding the teams towards lean evaluation & optimized validation scopes reducing implementation cost
• Monitor progress for multiple parallel projects and propose reaction/mitigation plans to meet approved timelines & bunnies targets
• Track/Present detailed status, resolve issues and escalate on a timely manner roadblocks that cannot be solved at project team level

Your profile:

• Technical background, Bachelor/Master of Science degree in Mechanical/Process Engineering or comparable
• Experience with automotive suppliers, customers and validation requirements for safety critical products
• Strong moderation, communication and matrix skills with team spirit
• Global thinking, results oriented, advanced organizational skills including attention to details
• Ability and willingness to work under pressure (deadlines, balancing)
• Good English and Czech skills required in CZ and international environment (EU, NA, AP). German skills are a big advantage
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Driving license B, ability and willingness to travel
