As a test engineer and test manager for drone systems (m/f/d), you are responsible for carrying out verification tests for safety-critical or non-safety-critical systems for unmanned aerial vehicles and their components. You will also prepare the test reports as well as the verification documentation.

Your tasks:

  • Coordinate the verification tests with the development and safety engineers involved as well as with the type test control centre.
  • Coordination of test facilities and test equipment
  • Support and implementation of verification for UAS:
  • Planning and coordination of test tasks
  • Formulation of testable requirements
  • Development of test strategies and verification procedures (AMCs or MOCs)
  • Development of test plans
  • Deriving and incorporating test cases into a requirements tool
  • Construction of test set-ups and their instrumentation
  • Carrying out tests (e.g. environmental, load and vibration tests)

WAS SIE MITBRINGEN SOLLTEN

  • Completed studies in the field of aeronautics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar
  • Experience in requirements engineering and test formulation
  • Knowledge of systems engineering, development processes (V-model)
  • Initial experience in carrying out various tests such as climate tests, EMC tests, stress tests
  • Basic knowledge of hardware and software development
  • Preferably experience with development standards of manned aviation (e.g. DO160, DO254, ARP4754)
