Responsibilities for Test Engineer: 

  • Troubleshoot production electronic equipment as necessary to identify root causes of failures, identifying them either as build or design related.
  • Interface with Design Test Engineering staff to help resolve design issues.
  • Develop troubleshooting procedures for use by Test Technicians and provide training as required.
  • Investigate and respond to out-of-tolerance tooling notifications in order to define and mitigate risks.
  • Evaluate test data, identify performance trends, and initiate improvement activities as warranted.
  • Revise work instructions as required.
  • Interface with internal and external departments, customers and suppliers.
  • Conducting quality assurance and designing performance tests using verified test procedures.
  • Troubleshooting any errors and streamlining the testing procedures.
  • Ensuring all tests and procedures meet company and industry standards.
  • Training the quality assurance staff and providing technical support when needed.
  • Writing up the final QA and test procedures.
  • Document and monitor testing outcomes and establish steps to remedy problems.
  • Analyze current technologies used within the company and develop steps and processes to improve testing procedures.
  • Track and improve product yields through continuous improvement efforts, to include proper project documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of related experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Electrical Engineering preferred)
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • The ability to work well within a team structure and independently with little supervision.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • Strong analytical skills will be needed in order to troubleshoot advanced electronics.
  • Familiarity with current computer applications and fundamental engineering concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Ability to solve moderately complex technical design and development problems that require a professional level of engineering knowledge.
  • Must be familiar with the use and operation of various types of test and measurement equipment to include oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers, bus analyzers, etc.

Schedule:

7AM - 5PM (Mon - Thurs)

7AM - 4PM (Every other Friday)

Overtime and off-shift work may be required.
