Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Principal Systems Modeling Engineer to join our team to support the Propulsion Systems and Controls (PS&C) business unit. This position will reside in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The main location of the PS&C business unit is in Elkton, Maryland. It began solid-propellant rocket operations in 1948. Today, the Elkton PS&C facility designs, develops, and produces solid-propellant propulsion and ordnance systems in programs professionally managed for a wide variety of Government and commercial customers. The facility also serves as the hub for offsite engineering and test facilities in Ronkonkoma, NY and Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
Description:
Serve as a Lead Engineer for the motion controls group development and production integration and test operations in Salt Lake City and surrounding locations. This role requires the candidate to function in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment. Daily responsibilities may require direct contact with sensitive avionics hardware and ground support equipment. The candidate may be expected to help develop, plan and/or perform integration and testing activities associated with the assembly of avionics hardware, testing of assembled systems and components, processing of telemetry and performance data, modeling and simulation of control systems, execution/support of live fire tests (static and/or flight) at various facilities or launch ranges and general production support for motion control hardware. Salary Range: $92,600.00 - $139,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
