The Team: The Regional Shared Services (RSS) team is responsible for administering Morningstar’s finance and accounting processes across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. The Senior Financial analyst is a key role in the QTC team, tasked with preparing and analyzing contracting sales data, creating reports to monitor the sales trends and data quality of sales systems. The person hired on this role will work closely with the Legal and the Sales team. The role will report to the Quote-to-Cash Financial Reporting Director and will be based in Timisoara, Romania. This position works closely with the EMEA Sales and Product teams, EMEA Regional Finance Teams, Global Quote-to-Cash Process Owners, and other global-cross functional teams as appropriate.

Job Responsibilities

Improving data quality on a timely manner.

Improve data for churn process (help with data recording in time);

Help with data recording (focus on clearer data): have it done in time + maintain a higher data quality;

Integrated data for top-line reporting and invoicing;

Compile and analyses sales data (revenue included)

Closely studying and analyzing past sales data to determine trends in productivity;

Prepare accurate reports using data from internal sources ( eg: CRM platforms)

Evaluate third-party data (Legal and Sales) to determine best practices for finance reporting

Reconcile data of sales among different data sources.

Gather and analyze data in order to understand problems and address them proactively

Collaborate with team members and members of other departments

Qualifications

Professional qualification in Accounting and/or Finance;

A minimum of 3 years’ finance reporting experience in a multinational context;

Good knowledge of operational processes and reporting methodologies;

Relevant experience working with CRM software platforms and related processes;

Meticulousness, analytical and orientation to detail;

Good interpersonal and communication skills;

Fluent in English;

Ability to work independently and proactively in an international team;

Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
