Responsible for providing financial support and performance analysis to the global/regional operations and plant management teams. The role requires an exceptional business partner to drive organizational success through the development and execution of financial strategies. Key responsibilities include managing a team of operational financial analysts/plant controllers, consolidation and analysis of actual results/forecasts/budgets, conducting monthly plant reviews, product/conversion/material productivity analysis, driving freight/inventory reductions, and supporting capital investments. The position also requires coordination with the regional/global BU supply chain team.
JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting Manager is a critical role to contribute in various areas of general accounting policy and procedure, taxation and Internal Control will assist Plant Controller to effectively ensure company are fully compliant with internal and external protocol.
Conduct periodic balance sheet and internal control reviews
o Identify opportunities for improvement in internal controls and efficiency
o Develop, standardize, and implement policies and procedures.
o Work closely with the counterparties and Internal Audit to ensure accounting processes are efficient and in compliance with Company policy, US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).
o Provide quarterly review & audit schedules and support for external and internal audits
o Continuously review accounting processes for efficiency and internal control improvements
o Maintain a strong understanding of applicable legislation and guidance.
o Responsible in related Treasury and Tax activities
o Anticipate and pro-actively address contemporary Controller related topics
o Assist in various controllership related activities
o Lead and support ad hoc projects
Requirements for a typical Job Holder / Applicant
Educational Degree
Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance plus CPD or equivalent preferred
Professional Experience (in what processes and function)
o 10 years of Accounting and Taxation and/or audit experience, preferably in a Big 4 or large multinational manufacturing organization
o Possess efficient work ethics with proven ability to meet deadlines
Ability to learn on the fly in a dynamic and rapidly evolving organization
o Strong collaboration and influencing skills demonstrated through superior communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills
o Fluent in written and spoken English. Additional Asian languages are a plus (e.g. Japanese).
o Experience in SAP
o Good communication and presentation skills.
