= Objective =

We are in search of a highly experienced and strategic Global Process Owner (GPO) for the Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) process area, to lead and optimize our E&M related end-to-end processes globally and across all AP Business Segments (Crop Protection, Field Crop Seeds, Vegetable Seeds, Digital Farming) within our dedicated Process Excellence Team (PET). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Engineering, Maintenance / Asset Management, coupled with exceptional leadership, communication, and process optimization skills. Experience in Manufacturing would be an advantage. As the GPO for E&M, you will play a pivotal role in creating global consistency as well as improving efficiency and the internal customer experience within AP. You will lead a community of global, regional and country Business Experts to design the best possible environment for numerous stakeholders across the organization and you will manage and prioritize our AP specific needs.

= Key Responsibilities =

  • Process Ownership: Assume full ownership, and ensure accuracy and compliance, of the Engineering & Maintenance process areas, encompassing all processes related to AP's mid-sized and large capital projects for building new plants, greenhouses or other fixed assets, and for entire maintenance management process of technical assets from planning, request, prioritization, order, execution to cost booking assets. Serve as the primary point of contact for E&M process related inquiries.
  • Global Standardization: Collaborate with global, regional and local teams and stakeholders to establish and enforce global standard operating procedures and best practices for the E&M process area. Ensure consistent business process models and operating practices across various entities and regions.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously assess the E&M processes to identify areas for improvement, efficiency gains, and automation opportunities. Lead process redesign initiatives to enhance customer experience and minimize errors.
  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure that E&M activities are closely aligned with the organization's strategic objectives and manufacturing, regulatory and market dynamics. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and communicate process strategies, KPIs, and success metrics.
  • Risk Management: Implement robust internal controls to mitigate E&M related risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies within the E&M processes, including scenario analysis, risk assessment, and mitigation measures. Proactively address potential disruptions to operations.
  • Technology Integration: Partner with IT teams to leverage technology solutions, such as warehouse management systems, yard management platforms, and interfaces to external warehouse systems, to streamline and enhance the E&M process area. Drive digital transformation initiatives to meet evolving internal and external business partner expectations.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness and efficiency of the E&M processes. Regularly report progress and insights to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Change Management: Lead change management efforts associated with process improvements and system implementations. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Process Excellence Community (PEC) and promote business partner-centric practices.
  • Talent Development: Mentor and guide a team of global process experts within the Process Excellence Community. Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance their skill sets and capabilities.
  • Main interface to GE and Corporate Process community: Be the main contact person for all the existing process owners of GE and other corporate areas to ensure that AP specific process requirements and needs are fulfilled.

= Job Requirements =

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master degree in (Mechanical) Engineering, Facilities Management, or Industrial Technology; relevant certifications (e.g., CPMM) is a plus.
  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in either Egineering or Plant Maintenance or Asset Management.

  • Process Excellence: Proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives, implementing best practices, and optimizing financial processes for global organizations.
  • Leadership: Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and motivate cross-functional teams.
