Sonos DACH is looking for a dynamic and ambitious Key Account Manager to help drive us towards our mission to Inspire the world to listen better. The role will include managing our highly valued Mass retail partners Media Markt Germany/ Saturn Germany / Media Markt Austria.

This is a remote role offered within Germany, with an expectation of quarterly in person meetings.

In addition, a key part of the role will be to help develop potential new channels and partnerships aligned to our regional strategy. In order to drive continuous growth in the competitive categories we operate in, emphasis is placed on the ability to think beyond day to day account management and look for opportunity in all areas of the accounts with a focus on improving the customer experience. 

You will be part of an exciting and dynamic DACH team that includes colleagues in Germany, Netherlands, France, Denmark and the United Kingdom.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the relationships with existing accounts to deliver against team/ cluster / corporate goals.
  • Build and execute an annual account strategy and business plan using MBR’s/QBR’s with the account to check in on progress.
  • Build and execute launch strategies for your accounts in line with our product/promotional roadmap.
  • Identify new and emerging opportunities within the accounts to find new routes to our target customer being able to clearly articulate the opportunity internally to gain support.
  • Works with Commercial Director annually to build a commercial terms package for identified accounts that drives efficiency for Sonos and engagement from the retail partner.
  • Manages the commercial terms package with the account to ensure all KPI’s are being met, rebates and marketing funds are apportioned and invoiced in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the Retail Experience marketing team to ensure a flawless execution of our in-store presence, promotions, new product launches and account specific initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Retail Experience training team to ensure both store and online training plans are both built and executed in collaboration with the account and in line with the annual account strategy document. Supports training events where necessary.
  • Has full accountability of sell-through / sell-in forecasts /household targets, inventory levels and availability measures working closely with the Operations team internally and the merchandising teams externally to achieve the optimum result across all metrics.
  • Collaboration for the Media Markt sales team
  • Management of external tactical promoter teams

Qualification

  • Minimum of degree level education required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of customer facing roles within the wider consumer industry, especially building and managing key relationships in retail and online.
  • Broad professional background within Sales, Product / Category management or Marketing.
  • Able to influence and build relationships at Buyer/Head of Category/Category Director level
  • Very strong analytical and commercial acumen required including extensive knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
  • Must have a proven track record of Data Management / Tools & Systems knowledge (salesforce, SAP, others)
  • Story-teller, relationship builder and strong people judgement
  • Creative, inspiring and progressive.
  • Modern , low Ego management and leadership style
  • Experience in E-Commerce 
  • Fluent in English and German
