Do you want to help write the next chapter of our story? We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist based in Orangeburg, NY. 

The role: 

You will be responsible for collections for Clarins USA and order releases based on guidelines to ensure proper flow, maintaining credit limits for customers, and performing month-end adjustments to ensure accurate financial reporting. You will also be assisting team members with deductions that include advertising, demonstration & compensation, and preparing dispute packages as well as other general accounting support for the Finance department. 

What you’ll do:

The position of Accounts Receivable Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the company’s strategy by optimizing the timely receipt of payments from customers to ensure proper flow of new orders received, minimizing risk by closely monitoring credit limits, and analyzing deductions to ensure potential recovery of funds which will contribute to the optimization of cash-flow to support the growth of the business.

  • Monitor collections for Clarins USA customers, ensuring invoices are timely posted to trial balance and payments are issued according to schedule by completing Excel analysis and cash forecasting.
  • Order releases based on guidelines to ensure proper flow. 
  • Monitor Credit Limits, conducting monthly adjustments based on foreign exchange rate and alerting management when the need for increase arises.
  • Perform month-end adjustments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist with deductions that include advertising, demonstration & compensation, and preparation of dispute packages in attempt to recover funds deducted by customers in error and other general accounting support.

You are:

You have: 

  • At least 1-3 years related work experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, advanced knowledge preferred (xlookup, pivot tables).
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Strong time management and organization skills. 
  • An ability to work both independently and as a team player. 
  • An ability to efficiently multi-task.

Salary: $52,000-$60,000
