Responsibilities:

  • Support/troubleshoot and improve existing test method and QC systems in consumables manufacturing for multiple product lines
  • Identify, down-select, develop, characterize, qualify, validate, and implement test methods and/or measurement systems/equipment for use in consumables manufacturing
  • Construct and execute controlled experiments (including DOE, gauge R&R, & variance component analyses/studies) to optimize test methods/equipment, and resolve quality issues with an emphasis on the application of rigorous statistical analyses to derive sound conclusions
  • Analyze test results, issue reports and make technical recommendations based on thorough product/quality risk evaluations
  • Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Automation, R&D teams, and equipment vendors to efficiently develop metrology processes for new products and improve processes of existing products.
  • Lead the evaluation and down-selection of new and complex measurement equipment. Improve equipment/method function, as needed, by working closely with equipment vendor. Engage with vendors to manage technical requirements and acceptance testing for new equipment.
  • Engage with contract manufacturing organizations to establish new measurement processes. Troubleshoot and sustain deployed methods and equipment.
