The Quality Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership for the evaluation,

and development of new project development and manufacturing process design with expertise in

quality, cost, and manufacturing & design engineering. To ensure the sufficient quality to be

developed and transferred to mass production.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Engage in new project development as quality expertise.
  • Identify quality risks and work out action plans by working together with project team by following FMEA concept.
  • Lead control plan (CP) creation and maintenance.
  • Responsible for inspection instructions creation and maintaining.
  • As quality gate to ensure sufficient validation of product design and process design.
  • Develop quality criteria and testing approach for new projects.
  • Develop quality tools & gauges for measurement and testing.
  • Lead customer complaint handling, define containment action, corrective & preventive actions by providing 8D when requested by customer.
  • Lead problem solving for new projects in development phase.
  • Lead training to QC and operators in relation to new projects and engineering changes for quality inspection related.
  • Participant in process audit to ensure the sufficient implementation of activities defined.
  • Q-data analyzing and reporting, in daily, weekly, monthly basis.
  • Drive team working on quality continuous improvement and poor-quality cost reduction.
  • Performs all other duties as required.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • 5+ years of quality engineering experience in the mechanical manufacturing industry/ auto industry.
  • Experienced in project quality management.
  • Practical experience in quality tools application, e.g. APQP, MSA, SPC, FMEA, PPAP, 8D Report, 5 why analysis, etc.
  • Be proactive and multiple tasks management skills.
  • Good oral/verbal/written English communication, interpersonal skills, leadership skills and problem-solving abilities are required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint including developing graphs and presentations.

  • Quality manager
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear.
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Periodic lifting of up to 20kg.
  • Alternates between sitting, standing, and moving within the work area.
  • Must be able to manipulate equipment used in performance of tasks.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Works in an office environment with regular exposure to the manufacturing floor.
