As the Sr Network Security Architect, you will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing and operating enterprise infrastructure for clients. You will have the opportunity to work within an industry-leading account team, supporting a key focus area to craft sustainable IT roadmaps for the ePlus customer base.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Implementation of network and security solutions from providers such as Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, and Fortinet
  • Create as-built documentation and diagrams.
  • Be available as a pre-sales resource for sales team members, as necessary.
  • Serve as an escalation point for other Engineers.
  • Troubleshoot complex technology issues.
  • Assess Customer environment and make recommendations on solutions and improvements.
  • Meet with key vendors to stay current on products and technologies.
  • Maintain multiple advanced manufacturer specific advanced certifications. i.e.: CCNP Security, PCNSE, NSE, etc.
  • Serve each and every customer to ePlus’ standards.

  • Core technology knowledge – must be comfortably conversant in multiple of the following areas:
  • IP networking
  • Security fundamentals
  • Wireless architecture 
  • Next-Generation Firewall architecture and implementation
  • RADIUS server configuration and troubleshooting
  • Network Access Control design and implementation
  • Software-Defined Access architectures
  • Data center and access layer segmentation design
  • Network automation/orchestration
  • Disaster Recovery planning
  • Intrusion Prevention System implementation/tuning
  • Endpoint security solutions
  • Specialized knowledge (subject matter expert) in at least three (3) of the following areas:
  • Network/security infrastructure – Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, CheckPoint, Fortinet, F5
  • Application security – F5, Imperva, Splunk
  • Identity/access control – Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, Forescout, ZScaler, Cyxtera
  • Network segmentation and policy control – Cisco ACI, VMware NSX
  • Data protection – Symantec, Varonis
  • Endpoint protection – Cisco AMP, Palo Alto Traps, Cylance, CarbonBlack,
  • DNS/email – Cisco Umbrella/ESA/WSA, Proofpoint, Mimecast, FortiMail

Education and Experience:

  • 10 or more years of experience in designing and implementing secure network architectures
  • Past experience in a consultative role preferred
  • Certifications in applicable technology preferred
  • College degree or applicable work experience a plus
  • Greatly Preferred Experience:
  • Palo Alto
  • SASE (Secure Access Service Edge)
  • SDWAN
  • Cisco ACI

Position Specifics:

The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $150,000 and $190,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Physical Requirements of Position:

Ability of finger dexterity to be used primarily to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects or pinching fingers together. Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands and / or fingers. Speech ability must be at a level where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly or quickly. Hearing ability must be at a level to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Visual ability must be average with ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery. Physical strength for sedentary work with sitting most of the time. May have to exert or lift up to 10 – 20 pounds of force occasionally.
