R&D Project Manager

You will be working as R&D Project Manager and will be part of Electrification business for Smart Power division based in Hyderabad, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible for leading the prototyping activities of the Hyderabad lab with identifying potential suppliers for new or existing requirements, coordinating with SCM for PR / PO and receipt of parts, incoming quality inspection.

Your responsibilities

• Driving the prototype sample preparation for Low voltage switchgear products, in line with project requirements
• Supporting with root cause analysis and corrective actions for any failures observed during prototyping and measuring and inspection
• Supporting the new capex requirements with activities of technical spec finalization, installation and commissioning by closely working with vendors
• Supporting the maintenance activities related to the equipment and tools used by the laboratory
• Designing and developing jigs and fixtures as required
• Following HSSE norms of PPE, LOTO, material storages and handling etc, raise alarm for risk, if any

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
• Require 10 years of experience in product development, testing of switchgear products, with good understanding on the manufacturing processes
• Experience in QC role
• Good Knowledge of materials and potential vendors
• Good understanding of safety requirements while operating electrical device
• Experience working with NABL accredited lab
