Master of Adaptive: Take ownership of Adaptive, our reporting and forecasting system. Your expertise will drive its evolution, ensuring it remains at the forefront of our long-range planning, annual operating plan, and quarterly cycles. Strategic Partner: Become a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams, guiding them with your financial acumen and insights. Collaborate closely with departments across the organization, from finance and accounting to IT and legal. By fostering transparency and surfacing key insights, you'll empower decision-makers to navigate complex challenges with confidence.

Project Leadership: Take the lead on transformative initiatives, working hand-in-hand with external implementation teams to enhance Adaptive functionality and reporting. As the project manager, you'll drive these efforts forward, ensuring seamless integration and tangible results that elevate our financial processes to new heights.

Our FP&A team needs a senior financial analyst who will have 2 main scopes: 

  1. Own Adaptive, our reporting and forecasting system, and all of our corporate FP&A processes. This will include continuously evolving and upleveling our existing systems and processes to support our long range planning, annual operating plan, quarterly POR, workforce planning, and close processes/reporting. As we build new products and enter new markets, you will proactively make changes so that our team can continue to communicate the meaning of financial and operational data to support our executive team’s decision-making. You will work with an external implementation team to create and materially modify Adaptive functionality and reports, and act as the project manager for those initiatives.
  2. Serve as a thoughtful business partner to various cross-functional teams and FP&A overall. In conjunction with the Director of FP&A you will partner with the teams within the G&A department, including, finance, accounting, IT, people, recruiting, and legal, to drive transparency, surface insights, and enable your partners to make sound decisions. This will occur primarily during monthly close cycles, quarterly POR cycles, and long-range and annual planning cycles, but also on an ad hoc basis as opportunities present themselves.

Your prior experience includes: 

  • 3+ years of experience in Corporate FP&A at a fast-paced tech company.
  • Exemplary communication; capable of distilling complex financial concepts into actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experienced user of Adaptive Planning that can find opportunities for efficiency and improvement, and quarterback the implementation of changes and fixes with an outside consultant.
  • Cross-functional partnership: You can partner effectively both with finance and non-finance business orgs.
  • A service mindset and a flexible working style to make others successful.
  • Experienced Excel (and Office Connect for Adaptive) and Google Sheets user. 
  • Ruthless attention to detail: you check your work and see around corners where there could be gaps.
  • Strong execution skills: you hit your deadlines and can manage multiple priorities even when they change.
  • Solid Finance/Accounting base: you don’t need a CPA but you should know your way around a three statement model.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a desire to make things better than you find them.

Bonus points:

  • Experience with Netsuite. 
  • Track record of process reengineering and change management.

Hover has Hubs in San Francisco and New York City. These Hubs are where our teams will be growing the most as we foster in-person collaboration and connection. This position is based out of our New York hub. 

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $89,000 - $131,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
