Job Summary

Compass Group, the world’s leading contract foodservice company, has a Great Opportunity for career development and growth here at its North America headquarters in Charlotte, NC as a Finance Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides financial guidance to operating units within the division on matters involving recovery, technology licensing agreements, resource cost analysis, and capitalization.
  • Prepare monthly flash reports, conduct variance analysis against targets, and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Generate monthly reports to analyze unit performance, prepare leader reporting packs, and develop period decks for senior leadership.
  • Monitor risks and opportunities within the division, collaborating with teams to identify mitigation plans and drive growth initiatives.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, contributing to presentations for senior leadership to articulate financials clearly and concisely.
  • Grow financial performance through analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances, trends, and identifying potential cost savings.
  • Monitor projects against budgets, investigating variances between anticipated costs and actual costs.
  • Understand data drivers to provide support and follow up analysis to IT leadership and key customers.
  • Develop and analyze tactical and strategic changes to current methods and processes and present alternatives.
  • Maintain sensitivity to confidential HR and Payroll data.
  • Partner with multiple teams throughout Compass Group, including but not limited to VSO, Corporate Accounting, Financial Planning, Payroll, Compass Tech, Compass Digital, E15, and Strategic Projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business
  • 5+ years accounting/finance/reporting experience
  • Understanding of budgetary management and accounting principles and procedures
  • Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Hyperion/ESSbase, Power BI, and SAP experience is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to constantly monitor and adjust priorities
  • Experience with executive/corporate communication and presentations
  • Ability to influence results when no direct authority exists
  • Excellent time management skills
