Job Description

The Business Director on the Strategy & Insights team is responsible for:

  • Being an integral point of contact for strategy on key brand/s
  • Driving the best strategic product on the brand/s
  • Influencing the best creative product on the brand/s
  • Growing into becoming the de facto strategy leader on the brand/s

Technical & Product

  • Actively uses and advocates the Publicis Groupe FUEL platform. 
  • Actively participates in every Groupe and Agency OPEN brief with inspiring springboards. 
  • Deconstructs past award submissions to identify key components of a successful story and discusses findings consistently. 
  • Comes up with proactive briefs for clients based on qualified opportunities. 
  • Initiates and directs the client's Effectiveness awards entries and submissions, regionally and globally. 
  • Inspires creative teams on Creative awards for clients.

Business Acumen & Operational Efficiency

  • Is the 'Google' and 'ChatGPT' in the agency on the client's category and business.
  • Supports the team in building knowledge of key technology and emerging vendors to integrate innovative solutions for clients.
  • Is able to contribute to as well as make persuasive and effective presentations.
  • Unearths and directs client workshops and actively participates.
  • Actively participates and systemizes monitoring of social, cultural and technological trends along with their impact on attitudes and behaviors.
  • Supports agency and team participation in client-conducted researches.

Innovative & Analytical Mindset

  • Market Research: Supports in creating new ways to generate groundbreaking new findings based on data.
  • Ideation: Supports in creating new approaches for delivering knowledge and inspiration that expands the creative team's ability and output.
  • Competitive Analysis: Is the go-to person for knowledge on all things to do with the competition (products, business, future plans, communication)
  • Presentation Development: Presents to high levels of an organization and effectively persuades to sell the thinking and the creative work.

People & Leadership

  • Takes initiative to challenge an established point of view with respect and openness.
  • Able to use storytelling to connect with internal and external stakeholders in a compelling manner to influence and inspire.
  • Able to handle complex issues and make decisions even when missing information.
  • Capable of proactively developing meaningful relationships with key decision makers. 
  • Accepts responsibility for client problems, manages conflict and actively works to solve issues internally and externally.
  • Able to build succession plans and grow and mentor future talent.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in data, research, marketing or business.
  • Min 12-15 years experience
  • Experience working in a strategy role
  • Agency experience is a must
