Job Summary Job Summary This is an open until filled position. However, interested, qualified applicants are encouraged to apply by the first closing review date of April 24, 2024. The Position Reporting directly to the Chancellor, the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources plays a key role as the primary steward of human resources programs and services essential for the success of both students and employees within the District. In the capacity of the chief human resources officer, this high-ranking position strategically plans, organizes, administers, reviews, and evaluates comprehensive District-wide initiatives that align with regulations in federal and California state law, Title 5, CCCD board policies, and collective bargaining agreements. Oversees all aspects of human resources, including but not limited to recruitment and retention, employment services, labor contract negotiations, staffing, professional development, performance management, employee evaluations, discipline, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, & Anti-racism (DEIAA). The Vice Chancellor is dedicated to cultivating a culture of collaboration, mutual respect, innovation, and continuous improvement that extends not only throughout the District but also permeates the broader community.
