Our team is focused on the Chemicals and Polymers sector. This role will be central to the development of an exciting new suite of products and services and provides an opportunity to help deliver our company’s strategy.

About the job

ICIS is seeking a candidate that will use their education and experience in industry to fulfill the job requirements and one who seeks personal growth and learning. The candidate will be asked to provide content excellence for clients in a high performance and inclusive culture. Priorities will be aligned to business purpose and will require a strong customer-centric focus. 

As a Market Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and trends. Your role is to identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations to key stakeholders. Utilizing your advanced technical skills, you will develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to support business decisions. Your attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively will be key to delivering accurate and actionable insights.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing primary coverage for assigned products and supporting Senior Analysts.
  • Conducting market discussions with buyers, sellers, converters, and traders to establish a view of market conditions, in conjunction with available data. 
  • Translating market conditions into a concise view that informs clients and provides pricing clarity.
  • Managing, collecting, and populating data in models on an ongoing basis and integrating any change implications into ongoing forecasts. 
  • Assisting with global supply/demand balances and future forecasts in coordination with regional team member experts in the space.
  • Assisting in maintaining ICIS capacity database with updates in real time.
  • Liaising with other teams to ensure a unified view for S&DD
  • Performing all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Have expertise in a sustainability related industry. Chemistry/Chemical Engineering industry experience would be advantageous.
  • Have expert analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form.
  • Have attention to detail and high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Have working knowledge of Python and Tableau and experience applying these to solving analytical problems would be advantageous.
  • Have excellent communication skills and an aptitude for building contacts and networks.

Travel:

  • Occasional travel may be required.
