Essential Functions

• Responsible for the design and development of fixtures and tooling related to the enhancement of manufacturing processes for both new and existing products.
• Analyze manufacturing process flows continually for enhancement of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
• Develop new and optimized manufacturing processes and product testing methods.
• Utilize process mapping and value stream analysis tools to plan space requirements, equipment layout, and workflow patterns.
• Communicate recommendations for changes, prepare cost justifications, and coordinate the design and development of new processes, systems, equipment, or materials.
• Assist engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing personnel in troubleshooting or problem-solving activities.
• Conduct and analyze time and motion studies in order to ensure optimal part/ product flow.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles and provide training to others in the organization.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• Three or more years of hands-on engineering experience.
• Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodology training.
• Software experience to include 2-D/3-D CAD/CAM software, ERP Software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
