Work as a Manager, Electrical engineer
In this position you would act as a group manager for the electrical design team and as an electrical design lead over all Picosun products. As a design lead your main responsibilities would be to ensure that the electrical designs meet the needs of different markets and regulations, to drive the design unification over the different product families, and to implement the best design practices in everyday project work. The closest collaborators in this role would be project managers, design leads from mechanics and automation, and the product safety and quality engineers. In the group manager role your main responsibilities would be to act as a first level manager for the Picosun's own electrical designers, and to manage the use of contractors based on project needs, to ensure optimal resource usage and growth in the skill sets and capacity of the organization.
Are you the one we are looking for?
To succeed in this role, you need to have a degree in the relevant field and >5 years of work experience gained preferably from the technology industry. Being familiar with the regulations and the standards guiding the safety of machinery and electrical equipment is essential.
Good communication skills are required to effectively describe various technical issues. Ability to work with people from different backgrounds, and experience in leading and coaching a team of engineers is an asset for group manager role. We use English in our daily communication, so Finnish skill is not mandatory.
