Job Description:

The Senior Analyst of Data Activation and Strategy will be a key component of the digital sales support team. This individual will serve as the expert in Fortune’s first party data collection and activation opportunities to optimize targeted campaign performance and effectiveness, and ultimately, drive additional partnership and revenue. They will work closely with the Sales, Marketing, Tech, and Account Management teams to build and activate audience targeting segments, educate internal teams and clients on capabilities, and provide audience analysis and insights for both pre-sale initiatives and post-campaign reporting.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Serve as the targeting and data expert for the digital sales and sales support teams, as well as Fortune’s digital advertising clients
  • Work with Fortune’s data partners to ideate and build valid and scalable 1st party data segments that address client needs
  • Answer internal/external data and audience questions to bolster digital ad proposals
  • Analyze and derive actionable insights from campaign and audience data
  • Create data visualizations to convey insights and analysis
  • Work with partners to maximize the overall functionality and value of our data platforms
  • Stay current on the latest ad tech, data, and privacy policy developments and trends
  • Collaborate with the Revenue Operations and Ad Tech leads to build, evolve, and future-proof Fortune’s data strategy.
  • Investigate and assess new data partnership and product opportunities

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.

Education:

4-year degree required; Marketing, Business, or Statistic degree preferred. Additional digital marketing or media experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of analytics, research, data science, or marketing/media experience. Project management and/or digital advertising experience a plus.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional skills in data analysis and storytelling
  • Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and influential written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally; ability to exercise judgment and flexibility in balancing program requirements, milestones, and keeping people and projects moving on schedule.
  • High attention to detail. Strong analytical, quantitative and strategic, solution-oriented problem solving. Excellent grammar, spelling and proofreading skills.
  • Positive and confident disposition when responding to frequent deadlines for multiple customers (internal and external).
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office products. Ability to use databases. Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly build positive team relationships.
  • Be able to think creatively, strategically, and tactically

Location: New York City or Chicago - Hybrid.

Base Salary Range:

Base Salary: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 

Plus Bonus: 10%
