Under the guidance of the Project Manager, the Electrical Engineer, Senior shall provide and implement design solutions that meet the requirements of the project.

Responsibilities

  • Design, construct and implement projects.
  • Create technical diagrams, flowcharts, formulas, and other written documentation to support projects.
  • Conduct research on new technologies and products in order to recommend improvements to current processes.
  • Research existing technologies to determine how they could be applied in new ways to solve problems.
  • Review existing products or concepts to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering 
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in the design of electrical systems
  • Possess a Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Active Secret Clearance Preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Knowledge of the technical control and distribution of power through electrical systems
  • Ability to navigate design challenges and generate effective solutions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the regulatory building and safety codes that relate to their electrical systems.
  • Ability to utilize design software in a comprehensive manner and able to interpret and implement results.
  • Ability to draft construction documents from conceptual design to the final product.
  • Ability to develop drawings and specifications that clearly convey design intent.
  • Knowledge of local and national codes.
  • Ability to interpret and help resolve code questions.
  • Ability to provide construction oversight and provide construction support.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office including Excel, Word and standard office software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
