Amazon’s Global AmazonLink team is looking for a passionate, results-oriented, and inventive leader to lead our efforts in expanding our integration platform. We are heads down in creating new, efficient processes that help all our external business partners integrate quickly and seamlessly with Amazon. We are creating a world class experience in automating business processes for supply chain and providing seamless integration with any order management system and file format.

AmazonLink aims to automate all transactions with its partners globally. The AmazonLink Solutions team plays the most critical role in achieving this goal by building the EDI technical standards, identifying integration needs and constantly improving the effectiveness of our B2B/EDI communications and integrations. Integration Solution architects review system and business process requirements and define integration solutions to automate business process execution. Integration Solution Architects also partners with other Amazon business teams and suppliers worldwide to identify new offerings and continuously improve the B2B/EDI integration process, current offerings, and data quality. Additional tasks include maintenance of the Amazon EDI specifications, mapping and supplier configurations. To be successful, this candidate requires mastery of a variety of proven technical, analytical, communication and leadership skills.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Build integration solutions to automate business processes for Amazon retail & direct fulfillment business. Develop & maintain Amazon B2B/EDI specifications, mapping, and technical integration artifacts as well as supplier configurations. Automate all B2B/EDI transactions with upstream suppliers and downstream customers using integrations technologies.
  • Work with all other global Amazon business teams to understand their integration requirements and collaborate to build solutions for automation.
  • Work with vendor managers and drive EDI adoption initiatives for vendors.
  • Propose and drive initiatives to improve integration technologies and processes.
  • Build standard solution templates for different business use cases and drive Amazonlink platform products towards self-service for customers.
  • Manage integration projects and communicate directly with internal and external company resources. Continuously improve our integration processes and data quality. Drive and build creative solutions for challenging customer integration requirement.
  • Responsible for documentation of business processes, solution templates, system processes and information flow, implementations of system enhancements- including capturing any gaps both technically and in the business process ensuring user acceptance- supporting end-to-end testing, problem-solving and training, using data analysis to back up business decisions, utilizing B2B/EDI function/message to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Lead Kaizen activities to apply B2B/EDI and Integrations technology and exchanged information with the vendor to contribute to improve operational efficiency and optimize business procedure.
  • Deliver timely, accurate and professional technical support and information internally and externally; including real-time support, communication, escalation, reporting, defect tracking and root cause analysis of outage events.

  • Analytical approach to problem-solving and a track record of driving results through continuous improvement
  • Experience of producing various artifacts like BRD, Design Document, Test Cases, B2B/EDI Specifications, Launch/Cut-over plans, Operations documents.
  • Demonstrated experience with writing functional design documents, troubleshooting complex EDI failures, unit testing, and end-end testing methods.
  • Experience dealing with high volume systems and designing solutions for reliability and performance at scale.
  • Experience of designing fault-tolerant solutions
  • Scripting experience in one or more technology.
  • Experience with rotational on-call duties and real-time live-system responsibility

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • Over 6 years of experience designing and implementing B2B/EDI integration solutions to address business challenges. Proficient in understanding customer requirements and constructing integration solutions.
  • Minimum of a BA/BS degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, along with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Deep understanding of integration system architecture and security for both external and internal communication. Familiarity with ANSI X12 standards, particularly V4010 and above, including Order and Financial series documents (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 810).
  • Proficient in working with XML, JSON, and other message formats. Experience with various EDI communication standards and protocols, including AS2, standard VAN-based EDI, FTP, SFTP, HTTPS, and Web services.
  • Skilled in writing functional design documents, creating/maintaining EDI maps and specifications, troubleshooting complex EDI failures, and collaborating with external EDI partners. Proficient in PL/SQL development for databases. Understanding of data structures, data models, and data analysis.
  • Strong technical background in middleware tools such as Contivo, Seeburger, Tibco, GIS, WTX, Gentran, TLE, and BizTalk.
  • Experience in developing integration interfaces, APIs, and web services.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying complex issues to both internal and external stakeholders. Ability to maintain attention to detail, work independently, adjust priorities, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Analytical problem-solving mindset with a proven track record of driving results through continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in producing various artifacts, including BRD, Design Document, Test Cases, B2B/EDI Specifications, and Launch/Cut-over plans.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience dealing with high volume systems and designing solutions for reliability and performance at scale.
  • Experience of designing fault-tolerant solutions
  • Middleware business process workflow design and development experience
  • Application development experience in Java or any other programming language.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $204,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
