Our Customer Onboard team is on a mission to provide an easy, and fast way to onboard our merchants. Over the next years we plan to expand into new markets, onboard new products to further help our customers with their financing needs.

As a Front End UI Engineer you’ll be a vital part of our Customer Onboarding domain, where we are dedicated to crafting seamless end-to-end onboarding experiences for our customers. Our focus includes optimising front-end customer experiences, streamlining data collection and verification processes, managing effective customer communications throughout the onboarding journey. We are committed to making it as effortless as possible for businesses to integrate Mollie into their operations and thrive. Our mission includes delivering a well-regulated onboarding experience, leveraging intelligent risk decision-making, and maintaining world-class operational capabilities.

What you'll be doing

  • Together with a small team(5 people), you’ll be owning the development of our new Onbarding flow end-to-end
  • Iterating from an idea to the final solution, shaping, building, testing, and measuring the performance of the features our customers love
  • Challenging our ideas and bringing your own. We encourage each other to act this way, so you can expect the same from others
  • Looking for ways to improve the state of our tech. We run a single codebase(monorepo) for our web dashboard (React) and mobile app (React Native)
  • Raising the bar of overall quality of our UI platform by working with a wider community of product designers & UI engineers within Mollie. We encourage you to contribute to our company-wide design system and other services and libraries

Our architecture

Mollie’s frontend landscape consists of multiple apps, and each application has its setup, which is optimised for the app’s purpose. Think of our merchant dashboard, API documentation, mobile apps, etc.

In general, our apps are written using TypeScript in React. Our backend system is written in PHP, and we’re currently developing new services in Java (Spring Boot) for new Onboard products and hosting them in the Google Cloud.

We care about performance, stability, and resilience. Over the last couple of years, we’ve constantly been working on making our applications ready to handle the next growth phase.

We work with flexible and reusable components, have an extensive UI library that we maintain internally, and are always looking for parts of the codebase that we can open-source and share with the community.

What you'll bring:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in developing complex, appealing, and responsive web applications
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as React, Vue, or Angular
  • Knowledge of language primitives. You should feel comfortable interacting with native APIs built into the browser

Nice to have

  • Experience with React Native is a big plus
  • Experience with TypeScript, Java, Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience mentoring other engineers. You like helping others grow
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams (backend and UI engineers, product designers, and other roles). You come with a formed view of what works well and what doesn’t

We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move freely. If you have the curiosity, passion, and collaborative spirit, work with us, and let's move the world forward together.
