About the role:

The BD Intern to the Business Director, Diagnostics will be accountable for supporting the Diagnostic Business Director and the Business Development team. He or she will be accountable for developing and supporting mainly our digital pathology Diagnostics product offering. 

In this role you will participate to define our product go-to-market strategy, mapping our clients, the competition, defining our Unique selling proposition, and helping to grow a healthy sales funnel. You will also be responsible for carrying out market analysis, planning and preparing internal sales meetings, and supporting our engagements with clients.You will work with Owkin’s R&D team to define our value proposition, and help guide our research on scientific topics of highest medical and scientific impact based on feedback you’ve collected from the market.

The position will require intimate cross team collaboration with our Product, Partnerships, Marketing, Sales Operations teams. The BD Intern to the Business Director, Diagnostics will help coordinate with Marketing our engagements during the year to promote the growth of our offerings and optimize our lead generation. He or she will work with the Sales Operations team, to analyze our sales funnel and build a sales activity dashboard.

Overall, the BD Intern to the Business Director, Diagnostics will help the BD team:

(i) refine the market positioning and grow the pipeline by identifying our growth drivers

(ii) develop solutions to optimize our operations and (iii) enhance our engagement with customers. 

Owkin has significant presence in Europe/US and access in the global biopharmaceutical market, and is expanding quickly. As the BD Intern to the Business Director, Diagnostics you will be reporting to the Business Director, Diagnostics.

In particular, you will:

• BD Marketing
• Help update our Sales Materials and prepare client facing presentations
• Help map competitive landscape and create a differentiated product offering with a clear value proposition
• Support Product Marketing Campaigns
• Plan major conferences with the Marketing
• BD Engagements
• Help Curate new Leads - through qualification meetings
• Support our BD team with proposals and other client requests (Request for information, capabilities decks)
• Prepare for major client meetings 
• BD Operations
• Help the Business Director, Diagnostics prepare the key BD meetings
• Work with Sales Operations to build Dashboards with Sales KPIs

Position is based in our Paris office. 

About you

• You are in an Engineering/ Business / Pharmaceutical-Medical degree
• Previous internship in management consulting is a plus
• You are fluent in English and ideally French as well. (You will work closely with English native speakers)
• You are hands-on, proactive, articulate and possess a good sense of humor, integrity, curiosity, and professionalism
• You have a fascination for innovative research and Artificial Intelligence, and a passion for solving the biggest problems in healthcare
• You are proficient in powerpoint, excel, word
• You have excellent project management skills 
• You have an acumen for sales and marketing 
• You are organized and like being in a fast paced environment
