Position Description:

We are currently looking for Mechanical Engineer to work on developing electro-mechanical products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be supporting mechanical design for Plastics, Sheet metal and Moving parts.
  • You will be required to design based on considerations for structural strength and flow performance
  • You work closely with the managers and execute projects based on priorities and develop competence in the product domain
  • You ensure the correct implementation and execution of the existing processes and work flows in these areas. You identify and cooperate in the elaboration of improvement opportunities of these processes.
  • You co-operate with internal departments such as program and application management, quality and purchasing and answer all technical queries pertaining to your products
  • You will be responsible for a good communication flow within and between the different teams.

Required Skills:

  • Prior experience in packaging domain will be added advantage
  • You have good knowledge in the field of solid mechanics, dynamics and manufacturing engineering (Should be well versed with the concepts of Mechanical engineering and be able to hands on perform preliminary design calculations)
  • Good understanding of 3D modeling concepts and added benefit knowing tools like Solidworks, CREO etc
  • Good understanding of manufacturing process such as plastic injections, Sheet metals, machining and casting.
  • Aware of DFM (Design for manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly). Exhibit excellent problem solving. Consider the Failure modes and anticipate the mitigation actions in the design
  • You are a strong team player and have the exposure to work with cross functional teams
  • Thanks to your clear communication skills and good knowledge of English, you are able to articulate the scenarios from mechanical engineering standpoint
  • You are a perseverant person with a goal-oriented and analytical mindset.

You Should Have

  • Bachelor’s / Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering ;
  • 3+ years’ experience in Mechanical product development.
