Field Marketing Senior Specialist - Australia

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Field Marketing Snr Specialist to join our marketing team in Australia. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the planning and execution of field marketing initiatives aimed at lead generation and customer engagement within the Australian market. The ideal candidate will possess enthusiasm for continuous learning, excellent communication skills, and a focus on ROI, outcomes, and action. 

Key aspects of the role:

Collaborate with the Field Marketing Director and wider APAC marketing team to implement global campaigns and bring to market a series of demand generation events to support overall marketing objectives and positioning. 

Work closely with sales teams to understand market dynamics, identify target accounts, and communicate on marketing plans and results. 

Take accountability for the effectiveness of events, both industry and Equinix hosted. Events are a crucial tactic to communicate our value proposition to our target audience and generate demand to support sales pipeline targets. In addition to end-to-end logistics for events, including venue selection, speaker selection, and communications, ensuring measurable success and post-event follow-up is critical. 

Lead management in consultation with inside sales, field sales and marketing operations to see that marketing leads are being generated and accelerated through to pipeline and close-won. 

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, agencies. 

Adaptability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and take accountability for results. Continuously grow your knowledge of marketing principles, tactics, and Equinix solutions. 

Required skills and experience 

  • Hands-on experience in B2B event management with a focus on execution. 
  • Experience working with sales teams to support pipeline generation 
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and work effectively under pressure 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively 
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build strategic work relationships cross-functionally in a global and matrix organisation. 
  • Experience with stakeholder management of senior managers and executives 
  • Self-motivated and strives towards personal accountability 

Additional experience that makes a strong candidate: 

  • Experience in a SAS software or technology company 
  • Account-Based Marketing (ABM) experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing
