This role is located at the MGH Insitute for Health Professions within the historical Charlestown Navy Yard.

The MGH Institute of Health Professions is looking for a board certified PNP to join their School of Nursing as a full-time faculty member. The ideal candidate will have a passion for educational excellence and innovation and will work with PNP students to teach their area of expertise in the Master of Science in Nursing program. In addition to their teaching duties, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work in a pediatric primary care practice.

The Institute is seeking dynamic individuals who are committed to preparing nurses for the workforce with interprofessional and global competencies. Faculty members are expected to be actively engaged in the scholarship of discovery, teaching and learning or practice/application.

About the School of Nursing

Educating more than 500 students with 55 full-time faculty, the School of Nursing offers an accelerated BSN program, an entry-level and post-professional Master of Science in Nursing, a Certificate of Advanced Study, and the Doctor of Nursing Practice, one of the first DNP programs in the country.

The SON faculty includes outstanding educators and researchers, many of whom are recognized nationally and internationally for their clinical and scholarly excellence.

Qualifications

  • Successful candidates will be eligible for licensure in Massachusetts. 
  • Hold at least one graduate degree in nursing in the area of specialization required for the faculty appointment.
  • Current certification as a Pediatric NP is required for the advanced practice program.
  • Certified FNP with strong pediatric primary care experience will be considered. 
  • Additionally, candidates must possess a commitment to scholarship appropriate with rank and must demonstrate excellent technological, interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Doctorate in nursing or a related discipline is preferred.
