Responsibilities

• Must be highly proficient in a majority of the following domains:

SOA, SaaS, .Net, SQLServer, mySQL, MongoDB, C#, XML/XSL, SOAP, AJAX, ActiveX, JavaScript, VBScript, ASP.Net, Web Services, SSL, HTTP, Performance Tuning, Platform Configuration/Tuning, Load Balancing, Clustering, Networking technologies including IPv4/IPv6, DNS, F5, routers, firewalls, IIS configuration, PING, Tracert, Telnet, Wireshark

• Architect core web-based products, exploring design alternatives, and for establishing development standards. Design considerations shall include performance and scaling considerations. Shall also provide effort estimation, and product development leadership to ensure on-time, on-budget product delivery with high quality.
• Be the go-to individual to define solutions and to guide less experienced members of the team.
• Will work with the Documentation, QA, and other groups to complement and complete the development process.
• Will participate in product roadmap discussions and identify key areas for improvement in the product and incorporate these goals into future development initiatives.
• Must possess outstanding communication skills/ verbal, written, presentation and be able to work with others at all levels, Strong skills with influencing people and effective at working with geographically remote and culturally diverse teams.
• Must demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm and a clear sense of purpose and establish a systematic approach to problem solving.
• Must be an outstanding solver of technical problems (bugs, defects, production issues, glitches, phantoms, and all manner of software issues). This individual will be called on to solve the most difficult product software issues.

This position will play a pivotal role in engineering optimal web-based software solutions. The individual will provide system/subsystem definition, interfaces, product architecture, software development (design, coding, testing), technical leadership, team guidance, and delivering to budgeted schedule and resource commitments. Position requires extensive hands-on technical expertise coupled with ingenuity, product knowledge, industry knowledge, and leadership skills.

Will work in a variety of product software disciplines and must be able to work with Product Managers and Developers to refine product requirements, and deliver products built to specified requirements. Must be results oriented and readily demonstrate comprehensive use of formal software development methodologies to achieve the desired business outcome.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

• BS/BA or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or equivalent education/experience.

Extensive years programming experience required. Expert level of programming, design, and analysis required. (MSEE/MSCS is a plus)

• Experience storyboarding, prototyping, and developing complex technical solutions to best solve business needs. 
• Project leadership experience and demonstrable ability to establish and meet realistic development schedules required.
• Extensive experience with formal software development methodologies and processes required.
• Must possess expert knowledge in object-oriented design concepts and applications development.
• Must have expert level knowledge of SQL and noSQL database technologies (SQLServer, mySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, etc.) and the application of these technologies to software product design and development.
• Requires expert knowledge of computer networking and application to web-based software product development and support. Technologies including IPv4/IPv6, DNS, F5, routers, firewalls, IIS configuration, PING, Tracert, Telnet, Wireshark and how to use these tools to analyze issues.
• Must have exposure to complete product life cycle, with formal training or experience in Software revision control, and test methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Extensive technology and/or industry knowledge is preferred. Especially in the area of researching new and emerging technologies to realize development or product cost efficiencies.
• Ability to provide leadership and communicate effectively verbally and through written documentation, meetings, and presentations to local and off shored teams.
• Proven experience in developing scalable, reliable, and robust web-based products.
• Experience upgrading legacy product platforms to new web platforms.
• Ability to iteratively and incrementally improve both products and processes.
