HEICO is currently recruiting a Senior Tax Accountant for its Corporate Headquarters Office based in Hollywood, Florida. This position reports directly to HEICO’s Tax Manager. In this position, the Senior Tax Accountant will likely:

  • Prepare quarterly tax provision and related schedules at quarter and year-end (ASC 740).
  • Prepare estimated federal and multi-state corporation income tax payments.
  • Prepare various tax returns, tax reports and related work papers due quarterly and/or annually.
  • Review HEICO federal, multi-state and foreign income tax returns prepared by an outside CPA firm and reconcile to the financial statements.
  • Review/reconcile Fixed Assets System (FAS) depreciation for book and tax purposes.
  • Research and respond to various federal, state, and foreign inquiries, notices and audits.
  • Perform/assist with other duties that may involve working with our corporate department, or group controllers.
  • Assist with special projects related to tax law changes, tax research and potential acquisitions.

Requirements

Requirements/Experience:

  • CPA is preferred
  • Minimum of three years of progressive experience in tax. (industry or industry/public mix)
  • Experience in multi-state taxation is a plus.
  • Experience with OneSource tax provision software is a plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.
  • Strong work ethic. (willingness to work hard and long hours, when needed)
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be flexible and able to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with subsidiary controllers and employees of all levels, including senior management.
