About the Function

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Tower is part of Global Business Operations and provides oversight on commercial and financial performance, supporting the business with analysis and insights to support business decision and foster an environment of control and compliance. The FP&A team is also responsible to own and animate the financial planning calendar and timelines, make sure inputs to the planning cycle are of high quality and enable senior management to understand key hunting grounds and major opportunity and risks to deliver the financial equation. This role specifically is responsible for Cash forecasting for the GB market (top 5 biggest markets for Diageo), and supports the FD and Head of FP&A in delivering the cash improvement agenda.

About the role

  • Perform extensive financial analysis and bring insight to the data from different business dimensions on Cash and SIT for GB market.
  • Ensure delivery of a robust annual plan, monthly performance rhythm and analysis on cash and Stock in trade
  • Ensure delivering timely information and insights, forecasting.
  • Generate ad hoc analysis to enable the organization to make high quality decisions on cash and support customer terms negotiations.
  • Give guidance within and to other teams as well related to planning & analysis & forecasting,
  • Resolve complex problems independently.
  • Lead and mentor the broader FP&A team

Leadership responsibilities include:

  • Partner with In-market Finance and Regional team on productivity and strategic projects to deliver cash targets
  • Partnering with other business functions to drive business performance through the provision of financial / commercial expertise and insights, whilst owning an effective control environment.
  • Partner to the senior level internal partners as well as peers, building great relationships, supporting them with accurate and timely reporting, respond to adhoc requests to ensure robust strategic planning
  • Support the FP&A team, coach and coordinate them
  • Ensure that the policies and procedures are understood and followed in the team and in the market as well

About you

  • Degree or equivalent experience education in relevant finance / accounting/ business
  • Financial Planning & Analysis, and/or Financial Controlling experience is strongly preferred
  • 5-6 years experience in relevant area, preferably with Cash
  • Strong accounting experience
  • Experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
  • Experience in a Shared services environment is considered as an advantage
  • Strong financial / commercial analysis background, proven track record to connect with partners at varying levels and the ability to flex to different market environments/ cultures
  • Have a good understanding of BFC, BW, SAP, PowerBI solution
  • Proficient English knowledge
