The Algorithm Engineer designs and develops new sensor fusion algorithms for current and Future products and motion tracking applications. This engineer works closely with embedded systems engineering and product testing team to develop and perform product validation and verification.

What You'll be doing

  • Designing and developing new sensor fusion algorithms for our current and future motion tracking applications.
  • Identifying new trends in research related to sensor fusion and motion tracking.
  • Understanding application requirements and to translating them into state-of-art algorithms.
  • Participating in research projects and delivering best-in-class sensor fusion solutions.
  • Working with management and interdisciplinary team of engineers to discuss project specifications and procedures.
  • Assisting in the development and execution of test set-ups to troubleshoot and resolve product issues reported by team members and customers. 

Key Responsibilities:

Ownership of our Image Processing Pipelines:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of image processing pipelines.
  • Identify and resolve issues promptly to minimize disruptions.

Platform Improvement:

  • Enhance platform capabilities through the implementation of improved monitoring tools.
  • Work on scalability solutions to accommodate the increasing volume of medical images.
  • Develop troubleshooting tools to streamline issue resolution processes.

Algorithm Integration:

  • Collaborate with scientific and AI teams to integrate new algorithms into our image processing workflows.
  • Optimize algorithm robustness and performance for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.

Mentorship and Code Review:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.

What we look for

Python: Proficient in Python programming for scripting and application development. Linux: Strong command of Linux environments and system administration. Medical Image Processing: Extensive experience with medical image processing, including Dicom, common algorithms, and image processing toolkits. English and Communication Skills: Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Attention to Detail: Thorough and meticulous approach to tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in the field of medical image processing.
