The team 

We are currently looking for organized and communicative interns with strong attention to detail and a positive attitude to join EF’s Finance Hub in Budapest. 

EF Tours offer professionally guided tours to the world’s greatest sights and landscapes. Itineraries can be tailored to the needs of North American teachers and students at any level: elementary, high school, or university. We also handcraft adventures and active vacations for North American adults of all ages and interests. In Europe, we produce the Tours out of our Operations department in Zurich.

The Role 

As an intern, you will work closely with colleagues, tour directors and/or external suppliers across the globe with focus on Accounts Payable and Administrative support during our peak season. During our peak, we have a large number of requests and tight deadlines that we work on together as a team to meet in a timely manner. 

The duration of the internship is 8 months starting on March 15th 2024. This is a paid internship. 

Main areas of responsibility 

  • Processing invoices and expense reports in the internal system
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between cost and budget and contribute to process improvements
  • Compliance check of incoming production invoices
  • Keep daily contact with internal and external stakeholders in Europe, LATAM and APAC, as well as strengthen and growing relationships with them.
  • Meet time-sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced and fluid environment

Requirements 

  • Nationality of one of the EU or EFTA countries
  • Fluency in English. Proficiency in French, Spanish, Italian, German or Greek is an advantage.
  • Relevant education, preferably within Business Administrative or similar
  • Experience in MS Excel and comfortable with numbers

Personality 

As an intern in one of our teams, you have a strong attention to detail and quality. You are able to prioritize, organize and work hard to meet deadlines. Thanks to your positive attitude, strong communication skills and flexibility, you can collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across the globe effectively. Additionally, you are passionate about travel and education and you bring creative ideas and a sense of humour to the team.

Please note: we're trying to build a great company culture and a cohesive office, which means that this is an in-office opportunity. There will be travel - Stockholm, London, Zurich etc. but when in Budapest this is a 5-days in the office role.
