THE CHALLENGE

We’re looking for our next great leader to run our commercial sales team! They must work well cross-functionally with Marketing, Customer Success, and Product to ensure alignment across the customer journey. The ideal candidate has deep experience with the entire sales process, excelling at pipeline generation, relationship building, and closing business. We’re looking for a quick learner — someone with a successful track record who can inspire the same performance in others. The role demands a leader who has a sharp mind and the ability to coach, advise, motivate, or replace Account Executives while building and maintaining a high-performance team.

About the Role

  • Hire, train, motivate, and lead a team of Account Executives in all areas of the sales process, selling to brands that have up to 500M in revenue. 
  • Achieve company objectives by planning thoroughly, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and hitting forecasts
  • Develop skills continuously for hiring, training, and leading team members, and ensure that they're using effective sales tactics to meet revenue objectives
  • Generate leads, and establish and nurture client relationships
  • Represent the company effectively with comprehensive knowledge of our offerings
  • Know our consumer needs and identify how our solutions address them

What you'll be doing:

  • Grow, nurture, inspire, and lead a team of world-class AEs
  • Build an excellent and repeatable hiring funnel
  • Optimize onboarding to minimize time to value for new hires
  • Understand implicitly what success looks like and what is required to achieve it - performance vs results and conscious competence
  • Establish metrics and develop the team by understanding their performance through weekly stand-ups, training and monthly 1:1’s with an emphasis on performance vs results
  • Engage and collaborate with Product, Marketing and Sales leadership across the business
  • Foster a fun, high-energy environment where people love coming to work
  • Model a high degree of intellectual curiosity and emotional intelligence while supporting the team
  • Optimize technology stack to ensure peak team performance
  • Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop plans for filling them
  • Ensure that company quotas are met by holding daily check-ins with the sales team to set objectives and monitor progress

Required skills and qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience managing sales team, preferably in e-commerce or Martech. 
  • Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closing
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Superb leadership ability
