Division: Asia Business Intelligence 

Job Title: Business Intelligence Intern (Asia) 

About the Role

If you have business acumen and an affinity for numbers/data, this is an opportunity to you to experience firsthand what it is like to govern datasets and flows that essentially form the basis of business decisions within Coty Asia Pacific, which covers more than 20 countries including, Japan, Korea, Australia, SE Asia, and India. You will manage different kinds of data from market share to Google Trends to forecasting and sales,

and from different angles be it brand/category focus or retailer/channel focus. You will obtain in-depth hands-on experience on Power BI, which is a common tool across companies and skills would be easily transferable. Lastly, by the end of the internship, you will have a better understanding of your strengths and direction – be it as a business analyst, a citizen developer, or mix of both.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaise with key stakeholders (both internal and external) on data availability
  • Manage dashboards and data models in Power BI and Power Query
  • Consolidate structured data to fit into existing models
  • Data analysis and visualisation for business reporting

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

ESSENTIAL:

  • Undergraduates who can commit for at least 6 months (Jul to Dec 2024) for a full-time internship.
  • Strong affinity with numbers and data
  • Skilled in the use of MS Office tools including Outlook (or related email tool), Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated and self-starter, with a strong work ethic and a sense of confidentiality.
  • Possesses cross-cultural awareness and high emotional intelligence.
  • Articulate, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good balance of a professional attitude while having fun.
  • Strong interest in consumer goods or beauty products.
  • Strong desire to learn along with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Persuasive, resilient and flexible, able to easily adapt to new challenges.
  • Passionate, enthusiastic, and driven to regularly follow-up with loose ends.
  • Able to thrive despite challenges while adopting a positive attitude under pressure.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  1. Understand how a consumer goods company operates, especially marketing, sales, and finance.
  2. Able to create actionable models and reports for business users.
