WHAT WE OFFER

Main Responsibilities

  • Devise financial cash flow planning, determination of financial risk exposure from foreign exchange and derivatives, deviation analysis and implementation of improvement measures.
  • Provide guidance towards and functionally lead business segments with respect to counterparty risk, leasing evaluation, securitization / collateralization of payments, group internal payment flows as well as all insurance matters.
  • Manage company funding: Ensure funding required for daily operations as well as investments. Organize and direct all funding activities in line with HQ-agreed principles, managing local bank relationship and banking business.
  • Manage and direct incoming and outgoing cash flows as well as related Cash Management tasks in close coordination with Headquarter. Ensure compliant reporting of account balances, investments and financial exchange transactions in Covestro treasury system.
  • Represent the company with commercial banks: Maintain good relationships with banks and negotiate in line with contractual templates and best practices local banking conditions and surveillance of related charges and support to monitor counterparty risk.
  • Advise HQ on capitalization in line with local tax authorities' thin capitalization regulations, capital structure strategy and propose and support preparation of according plans (dividends, capital reductions/increases, share buy-back etc.).
  • Coordinate local insurance brokers/companies in connection with Industrial All Risks, Public/Product Liability Insurance, Transport/Warehouse Insurance, Construction All Risks and Vehicle Insurance.
  • Manage data and analysis requirements for local insurances which need to be separately handled from global coverage.

Qualification Requirements (Education & Work Experience)

  • University degree level or equivalent in finance, accounting and/or similar education; master degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in financial, accounting and/or administrative area
  • Experience in financial instruments and markets, government financial requirements
  • English language should be fluently spoken and written
  • Advanced interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with various levels of the organization
  • Strong problem solving ability
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

Scope of role

The successful applicant should be demonstrating willingness and ability to lead across functions and locations. While the position is a single contributor, he/she will lead all treasury and insurance matters across the legal entities in Taiwan, will be member of the country council management team and provide financial leadership to the Country Managing Director and business segment heads.
