The Opportunity

Being an SDR is often a first step to jump-starting a career in sales. As an essential member of Fortune's programmatic media sales team, the Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a key role in driving revenue growth.

The SDR is often the first point of contact with potential clients – an important first impression. You will be tasked with performing outbound activities to generate interest across a wide array of prospective new customers, and with speaking to prospective customers who have expressed interest in our services.

The primary responsibility of the position is to execute high-volume activity (e-mail, phone calls, social) to generate initial meetings for the sales team that translate into meaningful pipeline value.

Day to Day:

1. Lead Generation: Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities through targeted outbound prospecting within the programmatic and digital media industry.

2. Qualification: Qualify and nurture leads to ensure alignment with our ideal client profile. Understand client needs and effectively communicate the value proposition of Fortune's programmatic solutions.

3. Meeting Setting: Schedule high-quality meetings with programmatic buyers, agencies, and client-direct prospects to further the sales process.

4. Collaboration: Work closely with the programmatic sales team to strategize and execute outreach plans. Collaborate with Marketing to align messaging and campaigns for lead generation.

5. CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, activities, and communications in Salesforce

6. Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies within the programmatic and digital media space.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in programmatic, digital media, or sales development.
  • Strong understanding of programmatic advertising and digital media ecosystem.
  • Excellent email communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Extreme comfort with outbound sales calls and prospecting.
  • Willingness and passion for trying new things, acting entrepreneurial, and being creative in engaging potential clients.
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and sales tools.

Compensation:

Salary range $50,000 - $70,000 base + variable commission/bonus 64k-84k OTE
